Ireland offers attractive financing and tax incentives for film and television production. Co-producing with an Irish partner provides access to a range of significant funding opportunities. Organisations such as Fís Éireann / Screen Ireland, Coimisiún na Meán, and Creative Europe allocate substantial funding each year to projects that include an Irish producer.
The Section 481 tax credit can cover up to 40% of eligible production expenditure, making it financially appealing for international productions. Ireland’s national film & TV production agency Screen Ireland also provide financial, personnel and logistical support for inward film production, as well as offering other resources and promotional assistance.

Our compact size and high-end road network means that diverse filming landscapes and locations can be reached easily and quickly. And, while sometimes unpredictable, the country’s climate is generally mild, allowing for year-round shooting without extreme weather conditions hindering production.
